This tour combines tradition and modernity, crafts and social media!

Tits, swifts, starlings, treecreepers, wagtails and owls - they all need holes and dead trees to nest in. Since suitable trees are not always available, Finns help birds by building thousands of nesting boxes every year, and now you can help by making a new home for the birds! 

Together we will build a birdhouse for the bird of your choice with the help of a nature guide. You can make the birdhouse unique by decorating it with moss or lichen, for example. When the birdhouse is ready, we will take it to a suitable forest area. You can choose the tree on which we will hang the birdhouse. The birdhouse will be numbered and its location will be marked on a map.
If you wish, you can join the closed “Your own birdhouse” group on Facebook and follow the life of your own and other birdhouses. And hopefully you will get inspired to build birdhouses at home too and add it to the birdhouse network.
